What Do These Alkaline Phosphatase Levels And BUN/Creatinine Ratio Indicate?
Question: I have had constant itching of the head, ears and parts of the body, abdomen pain and feel very uncomfortable after I eat. I am also tired. Tests came out high on Alkaline Phosphatase, 149 iu/l; BUN/Creatine Ratio 27. I have no idea of what this means and the doctor was not communicative, just had the Alkaline Phos, re-done, waiting for results. Can you just give me a general answer as to what this may mean? Thanks.
Brief Answer:
It would really be appreciable if you could share the entire reports.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.
I have gone through the details and understand your concerns. However, I would not like to consider only alkaline phosphatase report in isolation. It would really be appreciable if you could share the entire reports. You can do so using the facility on the upper right of this page. In case of no other deviations, I would not worry with this much deviation is alkaline phosphatase reports.
It is okay to feel tired but it would be better if your could get a thyroid profile done. The thyroid hormones control our metabolism and hence tiredness could be related to low levels of thyroid hormones.
