Question: I have unexplained bruises on my legs since two days ago. I have not injured myself. I've had several mosquito bites that I've scratched but these are not scratches, the areas are bruised.

Brief Answer:
In absence of injury, disorders of platelets or coagulation system suspected

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query on HealthcareMagic.
If you are sure that there is no history of any kind of trauma to the legs then spontaneous bruising needs to be investigated.
Spontaneous bruising can occur in disorders of platelets and coagulation system.
Thus, preliminary tests are required to assess the problem.
I suggest you to get certain tests- platelet counts, bleeding time, clotting time, prothrombin time, activated partial thromboplastin time and INR as initial set of investigations.
These investigations will determine whether there is any disorder of platelets, coagulation system or both.
Before investigations, I suggest you to consult your primary healthcare provider for clinical assessment.

Thanks and take care
