What Do The Following Test Reports Indicate?
Question: We got regular blood tests done for XXXX (2 years 3 months old) particularly for Vitamin D. There are many items where the results are outside the range. Can you please review and let us know what we should do? Some of the results outside range are below:
25-HYDROXY VITAMIN D 16.3 ng/mL (range 30-100)
FERRITIN 6.3 ng/mL (range 22-322)
IRON 40 (range 65-175)
L-LACTATE 3.9 (range 0.4-2.0)
CHOLESTROL HDL 79 (range 40-60)
ALKALINE PHOSPHATAS 241 (range 46-116)
Do any of above issues contribute to his fits or developmental delays?

I have noted the reports of your 2-year old child. The reports show low vitamin D levels, as well as low ferritin and iron levels. These do not contribute to fits or developmental delay.
However, vitamin D and iron supplements should be started.
There is no need to worry about high HDL or alkaline phosphatase levels.
High lactate may be important if there is muscle weakness; otherwise it carries no significance.
