What Do The Attached Reports Indicate?

Question: Hi Doctor, My son is about to 6 years old. He went through with Kidpro and Liver function test. in KidPro test below are the values:
CREATININE - SERUM : 0.39
BLOOD UREA NITROGEN (BUN): 14.2
URIC ACID: 4.3
CALCIUM:9.95

are these normal? in the report minimum value of CREATININE - SERUM is mentioned as 0.6. And in the various medical forums I found that value should be lesser that 0.5.

So now I am confused. Is .39 a good number or not? Please help.

Brief Answer:
Individual parameters are fine. But dehydration could be present.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I have gone carefully through your query and understand your concerns. The creatinine, BUN, Uric acid, calcium are all normal. The lower value of creatinine is not a cause for concern. However, the ratio of BUN to creatinine is usually between 10:1 and 20:1. An increased ratio may be due to a condition that causes a decrease in the flow of blood to the kidneys, as in dehydration. A clinical correlation is therefore needed for the same.

Let me know if I could help further.

Regards
