default
Posted on Tue, 14 Feb 2017
Question: What does it mean if I have multiple hypoechoic masses in the fundal myometrium in the posterior uterine body, which range in size from 4 mm to 12 mm? I've been having pain in lower right pelvic area and also right side of back. Sometimes feels as though a burning sensation (rt. side of back). It has been causing quite a bit of pain for me. Thank you in advance for your reply.

Brief Answer:
Can be harmless finding.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
Small hypoechoc masses in myometrum indicate degenerative changes in myometrium. These are usually harmless painless changes.
The pain in right pelvic area and lower back could be due to a back muscle spasm related to bad posture or mild disc related issues. Adequate rest, mild pain killers and hot compress should help.
