What Do My Lumbar Spine Scan Test Reports Indicate?
Question: I am looking for a specialist who just answered my question .his name is Orthopaedic Specialist Dr. XXXXXXX .can somebody please send him on my updated scan..thanks,he has dealt with me before and he is very good..i am finding the syste very slow to load.. can somebody please send this to him..if you look at my account you will see that he has just written to me looking forthis.. thanks

I have seen the scan reports attached to your discussion with Dr. XXXXXXX XXXXXXX
Both the scans uploaded are of lumbar spine. There is a nerve root compression at L3-L4 which is responsible for the symptoms that you have. There is only a mild improvement since July.
The bony encroachment at C5-C6 can cause foraminal stenosis causing the nerve root compression.
This can improve with muscle relaxants and physiotherapy. Surgery is not immediately needed.

Thanks. .is there any compression at L4L5. Are u saying the neck is responsible for the back..is there spinal stenosis is the back.it is very painful. .is the L3L4 disc the only disc compress

The major disc bulge and compression is at L4-L5. At the level of L3-L4 there is just a minor bulge.
The changes in neck and back both are age related degenerative changes. Poor posture and reduced paraspinal muscles strength contributes to the abnormality. The lumbar problem is not due to the neck problem.
The is a mild spinal stenosis present. This can improve with physical therapy if the muscle strength in the limbs is not affected.
