Doctor has suggest her to have 2 to 2.5 liters of water daily. As he found that, protiene is discharging through urine. Have you found something like this? Sometime her legs slightly swells. Is this something related to kidneys?

Brief Answer:
Protein loss through urine is in very early stage.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Protein loss through urine is in very early stage. It is not very significant.
However she may need 24 hour urine protein excretion for proper assessment.
It is good that serum urea and creatinine(for assessing kidney function) are normal.

Slight leg swelling may be due to many causes. It may be related to microalbumin in urine. She may need serum total albumin and globulin estimation.

She is rightly suggested to drink 2 to 2.5 liters of water daily.

Get well soon.

Hope I have answered your query.
