What Do Brown Pigmentations And Pain On The Breast Of A Teenager Indicate?

default
Posted on Fri, 12 Feb 2016
Question: My niece has some dark brown marks on her breast. The marks start from the clavicle to all the breast and she has a pain. I am wondering what can be causing the marks and the pain. My niece is 14 years old and we have no idea what the can be the problem.

My sister is going to take her to the doctor tomorrow afternoon, but we're very worried about and wonder if the bra has something to do with it. Her bras are not tight.

Brief Answer:
Mild hyperpigmentation.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
I have seen the attached image. The dark brown spots on the breast are harmless pigmentation marks on the skin. This can be related to a tight bra or an allergy to the material of the bra.
Report to your doctor if you find secondary changes such as increase in the size of hyperpigmentation, change in the colour / texture of the skin, itching, redness, swelling, ulcerations, etc occur.
For the lightening of these marks-
1. Apply sunscreen lotion regularly.
2.Raw potato juice, mashed avocado, cocoa butter, lime juice and honey can be applied daily to the area.
3.Take about 20 volume of hydrogen peroxide to which add about two tablespoonful of some milk powder and then mix it with a few drops of glycerine. Apply this mix on the pigmented areas and let it remain for 20 minutes. Then rinse the skin with water and subsequently apply moisturizer.
4. Take same amount of vinegar and use for cleansing the skin. Rinse the skin and let it dry naturally by air. The acetic acid in the vinegar will help in getting rid of the dark color and also allows the skin to remain radiant as well as smooth. Apple cider vinegar as well as natural vinegars are beneficial for treating this health condition.
5. Mix a Vitamin E capsule with some drops of castor oil and spread the content over the affected parts.
All of these are natural remedies. These do not guarantee any help but are safe and effective upto some extent.
