Brief answer
you need to get investigated thoroughly to find out the cause

Detailed answer
Hello,
Thanks for the query.

I have read your query and understand your concern.
Although the most common causes for increased levels of SGOT and SGPT are alcohol abuse and fatty liver, however there can be other reasons also like...

Prolonged consumption of antibiotics, pain killers, anti-convulsants, anti-cholesterol medications etc.
Suffering from hepatitis B or C
Rarely other rare diseases like XXXXXXX disease etc.
I would advise you to consult a gastroenterolgist for proper evaluation and investigations.
Once the cause is found, treatment can be specific.

I hope it helps, however you are most welcome to revert to me for any further query.
Best of luck
Thanks

Brief answer
Not serious problem

Detailed answer
Hello,

In general it is not a serious problem and can be treated by lifestyle changes and medicines but the specific cause behind elevation of liver enzymes has to be found. treatment would finally depend upon that only.
For example if cause is excess consumption of alcohol then quitting alcohol would treat you but if chronic hepatitis is the cause, then you would need very specific medicines for that.

Thanks

Hello,
Joint pains should be  seen and managed  by an orthopedician while elevated liver enzymes should be managed by a gastroenterologist.
Thanks
