What Causes Yellow Pea Sized Object In Stool?

Question: I found something in my stool. It looks like a yellow pea (same size and shape). It was hard on the exterior and then when I burst it (to see the contents), I found something inside (see stool_2 image). This isn't the first time this has happened but the last time I noticed, the pea was softer, like it had been sitting in my tract longer than this one. I have NOT had diarrhea or constipation. What is it??

Hi and Welcome to HCM.

If you did not change your diet in a while then it may be parasitic cyst such as echinocoocus , Schistostoma or even Nematodes. It doesn't need to cause any symptoms.

You should do parasitic Stool analysis(Routine and Microscopy) and then have appropriate treatment if parasitic infection is confirmed.

Don't you think (cholesterol) gallstones are more likely than a parasite? I requested a gastroenterologist to review and answer this case because it's their specialty. Thank you.

hi.
it doesn't look like gallstone considering these photos,but it is possible that some bilirubin type gallstones may have such soft consistency,although,it rarely happens to see such in stool.
