What Causes White Circular Spot On Right Nasal Septum Wall?

default
Posted on Tue, 9 Sep 2014
Question: Hello. I have a white non tender, circular scooby like spot on my right nasal septum wall. It is soft to the touch, and i can move it around, ike a piece of loose skin. I think it came as a result of chronically picking my nose for a long time in that particular area, sometimes scraping the skin off. At some point i stopped picking the nose, but the pain resulted. I saw an ENT doctor for it 4 months ago, because the spot has a chronic dull nerve like aching pain throughout the day and night . I was given bactoban nasal oitment for 3 weeks which did nothing to heal the spot. Three months later i still have the spot which refuses to heal and pretty much stays the same shape. It is not painful to touch, but it is painful on its own, like a dull aching nerve pain constantly coming from it, leting me know it's there. I'm not sure what i should do, see a different ENT or just live with it. Since i started experiencing this pain in the nose, cooincidently i also started to have vertigo and diziness like symptoms, unsteadiness while walking, a bit of weakness in my legs perhaps. When i told the doctor, he said it has nothing to do with my nasal spot issue. And now, 3 months later, I have lots of musculatorial pain and weakness throughout my body. I'm also developing chronic fatigue throuough the day. I'm not sure if it is anyhow related to this spot inside my nose. Could it be a chronic infection that is just getting worse and growing into a serious problem. Need advice on what to do. Should i insist they do the byopsy of it? Is there a way to heal it? Is this just access skin that refuses to heal not related to my other, more neuroligal symptoms?

Brief Answer:
Septal growth for evaluation.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for your query. I have seen your attached image.
In my opinion, you have growth in the septum which needs evaluation.
If I were your treating doctor, I would have advised for biopsy of the mass and his to pathological examination.
Depending on the report, I would treat you.
Your other neurological symptoms are most probably not related to the nasal growth.
It looks like a different entity.
I would suggest you to consult with the neurologist for this.
There is more Empirical or over the counter drugs to reduce the growth.
Biopsy and further evaluation is needed.
Hope my answers have helped you. Thanks.
