What Causes Weakness In Legs Causing One To Stumble?

Question: My legs have been giving out, for no reason and no warning. It makes me stumble, and sometimes fall.
Is this a neuro problem? I had rheumatic heart disease as a child.

From all indications, it is most probable this should be a neurological problem deserving the acute attention of a neurologist.

Problems with the nerves supplying the legs can case this. Also, some brain infections and tumors can cause weakness at the level of the limbs. A thorough neurologic evaluation is highly needed here. Diagnosed early, early treatment with physiotherapy can be very helpful. Leaving this go on without proper care can cause other complications , especially as the disease courses of some neurologic diseases can have peaks and periods of stability.
