Brief Answer:
The implant does not cause any smell.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to healthcare magic. I am Dr Ramadevi Wani. I will be answering your concerns today.

The implant is known to cause irregular periods/ brownish discharge . It settles down by the end of first year.
The implant is not known to cause any smell. The smell can be due to infection.
The brownish discharge can also be due to other causes like polyp, cervical erosion etc. It is necessary to exclude these causes. So it is important that you consult doctor and get an internal examination done. Get a Pap smear done if it is due.

I hope this is helpful. If you have further concerns, do write to me.
Best wishes,
Dr Rama.
