Brief Answer:
can be ticks or computer vision syndrome.

Detailed Answer:
It can be ticks for which cause is not known. Some relate it to anxiety so you have to control your anxiety. As you have given the history of computer exposure so it can be computer vision syndrome. due to lack of blinking, it prevents spread of tear film resulting in dry eye. It may lead to corneal erosion which may lead to blinking. Decrease computer exposure and move about in room. You can use anti-glare glasses without power or put anti-glare screen on your computer screen if you sit for long hours. Go near the window and look out side from time to time. Artificial tear drop like "Refresh eye" tear drop may be applied.
