What Causes Ulcers On The Penis While On Amoxycillin?

Question: I have seen a Dr and have confirmed UTI. Taking amoxycillin for this. I now have several ulcers on my forskin and penis. Seen Dr again for Herpes swab. Still awaiting results. Would like a second opinion. Photos of issue here: https://imgur.com/a/iCYsu

Based on the facts that you have posted you seem to have infection of Foreskin and Glans Penis (Balano-Posthatitis).

I shall be happy if you can post me more details to help me in making precise comments
1) Did you have unprotected sex with unknown woman very recently?
2) Do you have any urinary symptoms like burning urination ,frequency etc ?
3) Do you have any discharge from Penis (Urethra) ?
4) Is there itching of Genitals?
5)Upload photograph of your penis .?
6) Upload report of Swab Test

Ulcers on foreskin and Glans penis are mostly due to infection .

You need to take broad spectrum antibiotic like Cefixime along with anti inflammatory drug like Diclofenac twice daily.along with topical antibiotic ointment like Neosporin twice daily.

Ensure to wash your genitals with warm water twice daily.

Ensure to avoid sexual encounters till it heals up completely.

I have been in a monogamous relationship with my partner for just over a year now. I had a STI check a year ago, before the relationship, which was clear. I had received unprotected oral sex about 2 weeks ago. I do not usually use protection either during any vaginal or oral sex.

2) Do you have any urinary symptoms like burning urination ,frequency etc ?

Yes; Increased frequency / need. Stinging urination. This is why I went to my local GP, who diagnosed it as a UTI after a positive urine test and prescribed Amoxycillin.

3) Do you have any discharge from Penis (Urethra) ?

No

4) Is there itching of Genitals?

No.

5)Upload photograph of your penis .?

I have attached some photos.

6) Upload report of Swab Test

I have not received the results of the swab test yet.

The photograph resemble typical rash like that of Herpes Simplex Virus .
