What Causes Tingling In Hands And Feet?

Question: I'm a 33 year old female, 5'4" 123 lbs. I have been experiencing tingling in my left hand and foot for the last week. At first that's all it was and was more annoying than bothersome. I went to the doctor last Wednesday and she tested me for vitamin deficiency. My vitamin D was 12.1 ng/ml and my vitamin B12 was 259 pg/ml. She gave me a prescription of Ergocalciferol - 50,000 units once a week for 12 weeks, I took my first dose this last Saturday. She also told me to start taking 1,000 mcg/day of B12 which I have started. Since seeing the doctor last week though I've developed more symptoms. I feel a heaviness throughout my left arm and shoulder and today started feeling a slight heaviness in my left leg. I've had a headache for the last couple of days and yesterday started periodically stumbling on my words. When speaking I'll stumble on a word mid-sentence, I know what I want to say but it's like I'm having trouble formulating the word. My doctor is ordering an EMG study to check for any nerve damage but I don't know when that will be. She hasn't really given me a good indication of what this could be other than a vitamin deficiency. I've been researching online and based on my symptoms come up with all different kinds of possibilities - MS, brain tumor, peripheral neuropathy, vitamin deficiency. I'm thinking about seeing a different doctor that will maybe take a more aggressive approach. Please advise on what could possibly be causing this and how I should proceed.
I also had BMP blood work done and all came back normal.
If it is a vitamin deficiency, how long should it take before my symptoms improve?
The more I read about MS, the more it sounds like I may have that, although I'm not a doctor. About three months ago I had an episode with my right eye. I have very bad vision as it is and wear contacts, but I was having trouble focusing with my right eye and experiencing headache pain on my right side. I thought it might be related to my sinuses and had a sinus waters xray, everything looked normal. Prior to that I had vision problems with my right eye last August. They performed different vision tests and everything came back normal. Both times the problem cleared up on its own after a couple of weeks. Could this all be related?
