Question: Hi Doc

I have a question regarding my throat
For more than a month I have been feeling slight irritation
in my throat and right side under my chin .
I tend to clear my throat more often , there is some phlegm
most of the time . but it is not getting better .

I do engage in lots of oral sex with many women ,
and I thought maybe I cought oral gonorrhea or Chlamydia
Last month I even took HIV test that came out negative.

The discomfort I feel is fairly mild but there all the time ,
I even feel something towards my lymph nodes towards right side .

what could this be ?

Brief Answer:
Suffering from the pharyngitis

Detailed Answer:
Hi Sir,
I have gone through your follow up query; it suggests that most probably you may be suffering from the pharyngitis.

To rule out the organism you may go for the some serological and throat swab culture and antibiotic sensitivity test.

Serological test for
1. Syphillis,
2. Herpes and
3. Hepatitis.

Brief Answer:
Not ruling out

Detailed Answer:
Hi Sir,
I have gone through your follow up query; and for your kind information I am not ruling out the gonorrhea and chlamydia but serologic test are specific for above mentioned three diseases and microscopic examination of the throat swab or scrap are for these two diseases.
