default
Posted on Fri, 19 Dec 2014
Question: i have thickening of my spermatic cord on the right side. its slightly painful when touched. Its been on for a few months now. It first appeared along with a lump in my armpit, which my doctor suggested was swelling of lymph nodes, both armpit and groin area. However, the armpit lump went away but the groin area thickening and pain remains. I have no other health issues such as cholestrol or diabetes. I am 180cms tall and weigh 105 kilos, i have sit down job with very little physical activity.

Brief Answer:
Scrotal doppler is strongly needed to detect infection if any.

Detailed Answer:
Hi Sir.

I understand your query and concern.

Pain in the region of spermatic cord along with lymph node enlargement usually point to some infection within the region of scrotal sac.

Its extremely important that you get a scrotal doppler ultrasound to rule out organic lesions within the scrotum.

Meanwhile you can continue the prescribed medicines.
