Posted on Tue, 17 Mar 2015
Question: I have had blood and protein in my urine for months. Ultrasound was normal. Today, everytime I pee I get a sharp pain from bladder area to clitoris once I stop peeing. Any suggests why? Could it be tiny/ granular stones?

Brief Answer:
likely renal stones

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query to HCM,
iF YOU HAVE BEEN EXPERIENCING pain at the base of the bladder after you stop peeing and have been diagnosed with blood and protein in urine, then it is likely that you may be suffering from with renal stones or bladder stones.
It is advised that you should undergo an intravenous pyelography investigation which can delineate the renal parenchyma and the urinary tract including bladder completely and can identify any small renal, ureteric or vesical/ bladder stones.
