What Causes Swollen Outer Wall Of Vagina Post Intercourse?
Question: I am feeling like my outer wall of vagina is swollen nd whn my husband tried to have sex , i had accute pain , nd ofcourse we did not do anything there after,, it was nearly 4 days ago, still i feel scared nd can feel pain almost d whole day!! There is no itching, irritation of any kind!! Only slight pain!pls help

A painful swelling just inside the entry/introitus of the vagina is usually caused by infection of the bartholin's gland, secondary to duct blockage. This is a very painful condition.
After confirming the diagnosis with local examination, this needs a minor incision and drainage (marsupilization) under local anesthesia, followed by antibiotics and analgesics for a few days.
So, kindly see a gynecologist for evaluation and treatment accordingly.
Meanwhile, you can take simple analgesics like ibuprofen for pain relief if needed.
