What Causes Swollen Ankles And Pins And Needles Feeling In The Feet?
Question: Hi both my ankles are extremely swollen and the bottom of my feet feel like pins and needles. What would cause this? The pain in both ankles is horrible!

The swelling in both the ankles usually occurs due to fluid built up in the body .But it is not painful .
Since your main complaint is pain I would consider arthritis or any kind of infection .
The pins and needles could be due to vitamin B 12 deficiency.
Do you have any fever?
Any swelling on any other joint?
For symptomatic relief I would recommend hot pack application and Tab Naproxen 250mg daily.
You could also take Tab Meconeuron 500mg daily
Meanwhile please get the following tests done
CBC,serum uric acid level,urea,creatinine and vitamin B12 levels
