Posted on Fri, 11 Nov 2016
Question: I get a swelling in my lower left pelvec area that I thought might be a hernia of the small intestine but found that I could push the buldge area back in and the pelvis would remain flat for a time. Walking or playing golf the area would swell again. I do have a Dr,. appointment but am currious as to what the condition might indicate? thankyou

Brief Answer:
Looks to be Hernia

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query, albeit short and specific.
To recapitulate: Male/90 - swelling - left lower pelvic area - could push the bulge back in - walking or playing golf - swelling comes back.

Such an explanation indicates this to be an Inguinal hernia.
You can push it back means - reducible.
Comes out is popping out .
These two things are classical of a hernia.

Needs clinical evaluation and surgery if indicated.

I hope this answers your specific query.
