Question: my fingers are swelling up after taking acetaminophen. why is this happening. very painful

Dear Sir, I have gone through your question and I can understand your concerns.

But it seems that you are experiencing an allergic reaction to acetaminophen. I would recommend that you stop taking acetaminophen immediately and take an antihistaminic as Cetirizine 10mg once daily before going to bed to relive the swelling.

If no improvement occurs then you will need to refer to your doctor to get a prescription of Prednisone(steroid) in order to abort the allergic attack.
