Brief Answer:
Not commonly associated with dental abscess

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern.

As per your query an abscessed tooth is a condition in which there is pus formation below the root tips of the tooth and at times the pus perforates the bone and gets accumulated under the soft tissues leading to swelling over face..

A dental abscess is not seen to cause swelling or oedema of ankles and feet and it is generally seen in conditions/diseases related to kidneys, heart and liver while it can also be due to infections and lymphedema..

For the swelling in legs and feet consult a Medicine Specialist who can co-relate with clinical signs and symptoms and advise you investigations so that the exact cause can be ruled out and treated accordingly..

For dental abscess consult a Dentist and get evaluated and a clinical examination and x ray can help in diagnosis and treatment of tooth to save it like Root Canal treatment or extraction of the tooth will be advised accordingly..

Continue taking water pills as it will help in reducing water retention from the body by causing increased urination or Diuresis and reducing swelling..

Any further queries are welcome..

Regards.

Brief Answer:
Do not take any medication without prescription..

Detailed Answer:
Hi..
Welcome Back..

As per your query, I would not suggest you to take any medication without proper consultation with a Physician as medication will vary depending upon the cause for swelling..

So in case if you are out of medicine and due for appointment I would suggest you to go for walk in and get properly evaluated as although the swelling might not be due to some serious illness but still should not be ignored..

Any further queries are welcome..

Regards.
