Brief Answer:
Please consult ENT specialist and get ultrasound scan neck done

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing in to us.

I have read through your query in details.
A small painless bump under the skin might have many possibilities in the chin area. It can be any one of the following
(i) a lymph node in sub mental region
(ii) dermoid cyst
(iii) thyroglossal duct cyst (moves on protrusion of tongue)
(iv) salivary gland infection
(v) less likely a bone swelling arising from the mandible

The above conditions require a consultation with an ENT specialist and an ultrasound scan to be done and treatment is after diagnosis has been confirmed based on clinical and imaging findings. Since there is no pains, it is less likely to be an acute infection. However pain might appear at any time and you must inform your doctors should you have pain and signs of inflammation.

Hope this answers your question. Please feel free to correct any oversight in my interpretation of your problems and discuss them in detail as per your requirements.

Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

Regards,
Dr.Vivek
