Brief Answer: Causes to sharp twinges left side of chest... Detailed Answer: Hi, The pain you are feeling might be related to : - cardiac problems - heartburn (hyperacidity) - costochondritis If the twinges will become worse and unbearable, I advise to go to ER as soon as possible for further evaluation. Otherwise, should schedule appointment with cardiologist and run cardiac tests (EKG, cardiac echo, Holter monitoring, chest X-ray) to exclude cardiac problems first. For the moment, take an OTC pain-killer and chamomile tea. Avoid coffee or citrus foods/juice. Hope it was of help! Do not hesitate to contact me again if you have further queries! Dr.Albana
