Question: my wife is having sharp pains in her left breast. About 5 minutes apart. She is under a lot of stress with her mother in a nursing home and death is immenent

Dear Friend.
Welcome to HCM. I am Dr Anshul Varshney. I understand your concern.
I also understand that under how much stress she must be in this situation. Usually atypical chest pains occur due to anxiety. But at age of 67 years we should always rule out any cardiac chest pain as stress can precipitate a heart attack.
My advise for you to get her an ECG to be sure this is not cardiac chest pain.
Also give her a combination of Pantoprazole and Domperidone a single dose, if this pain Is due to acidity this would get relieved.
But please get an ECG to be sure.
