What Causes Sharp Pain In The Ribs?

Question: I HAVE BEEN HAVING SHARP LITTLE PAINS ON THE LEFT SIDE OF BODY, COMES AND GOES, AND NEAR THE RIB CAGE. MY BLOOD SUGAR HAS BEEN ALITTLE HIGH EVEN THOUGH I HAVE BEEN VERY CAREFUL.
I LOOKED AT THE SYMPTOMS OF PANCREITIS AND MY ABDOMEN IS NO BOATED OR PAINFUL, NO OTHER SYMPTOMS. I SLEEP WELL AT NIGHT, DOES NOT INTERFER WITH THAT, BUT DURING WAKING HOURS
IS BOTHERSOME. ANY IDEAS?

I being a surgeon, we encounter so many such cases day in and day out.

Please note..

1. Pancreatitis will have very bad pain, patients toss up on the beds.
And typically, have pain Radiation to the back..

2. It is not the case with you and hence I feel you are having, Gastritis.

3. Even this presents in similar fashion.. And is not a big deal..

4. Please start on, Pantoprazole tablet and it should help you..
