Brief Answer:
Paresthesia is the most common complication of herpes zoster

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for being at healthcare magic

Paresthesias in the form of itching, burning, pins and needles sensation and pain is the most common complication of herpes zoster.

It will take some time to settle.

For uncontrolled itching I recommend my patients to take antihistaminic like tablet levocetrizine 5 mg once in the morning and once in the afternoon and tablet hydroxyzine 25 mg at bedtime.

I hope to have answered your query and would be happy to clarify any further doubts.
