What Causes Severe Pressure In The Left Side Of The Head And Face?
Question: I've had pressure on my left side of my head and partial face. down to my nose for the past 4 days. The top of my head feels tender, and was wondering if it has anything to do with high blood pressure.

My nose does not feel stuffed, but out of curiosity of why this pressure is on my left side and the top of my head/scalp is sensitive, I started giving myself a Nasal Wash just yesterday. It does seem to help, but the pressure remains. It only subsides when I take the Tylenol. It's NOT a headache nor migraine, because I've suffered from those in the past, its just constant pressure. I've been taking the Tylenol for 4-5 days now, and I'm feeling this pressure should be gone by now. I'm using a Herbal Nasal Wash called ALKALOL.

Pain can commonly radiate in adjacent areas and cause scalp tenderness, so it can be present in sinus headache.
Since you do not feel any stuffed or runny nose other possibilities must be considered.
Tension type headache can also be a possibility. It is often described as a pressure like sensation and commonly associated with scalp tenderness as well. It is better relieved by anti-inflammatories like Ibuprofen (Advil) rather than Tylenol.
If it persists for over a week though you should be checked by your doctor, both for sinusitis as well as other possible signs you might have missed.
As for Alkalol, I confess not to be familiar with it, it is a product which perhaps is not commercialized in Europe. Reading about it and its content I do not see any harm in continuing it for a few more days since you feel to help and shouldn't cause any side effects.
