What Causes Severe Pain In The Inner Wrist Area?

Question: My wife is having pain in her inner side of her right wrist from past 2 days. the pain is along the nerve and is very severe. we have applied ice on it.. but it keeps coming back mildly

Hi,

You are talking about a nerve pain purely. I would like to know if there are any painful movements of the wrist. Is there weakness in hand movements? Did she has injury? Did it pain near the elbow as well.

Continue the icing. You can take Tab COMBIFLAM thrice a day after meal for one day. This should help any inflammation going on. Do not take more than a day. If the pain continues along then you should visit a local doctor for examination. Vitamin deficiencies and mineral deficiency can also cause this.

There is no pain near the elbow. No injury as noticed. She was just doing the normal house hold work

Hi again Sorry for delay in answer. Most such pains get better spontaneously. If it is recurrent or it does not get better then you will need to see an orthopedic surgeon. It may be due to repetitive work. Thus she should give the wrist joint rest for a few days.. Hope it helps.
