Question: Hi I went to hospital last night as I was having severe muscle spams and my bp went high and after years of no panic attacks they're back again worse then before. Can a old injury in neck cause neck spasms and trigger my anxiety again ? I feel the same again this morning

Brief Answer:
Get investigated in detail, provide more clinical details.

Detailed Answer:
Hello, Welcome to HCM.

I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.

It is highly unlikely for an old injury to cause muscle spasm or anxiety. Your blood pressure and anxiety may be related.

Any cardiac illness, Chest pain, breathlessness?
Any previous evaluation?
Any other medical illness?

You can continue ativan.

Other medications for anxiety can be added if required.

Get evaluated and investigated from a physician or neurologist or psychiatrist.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Yes I went to emergency last night. Prior to that I've had a ecg, Mri, ct scan, after I was hit by the drunk driver over 10 years ago I suffered with severe anxiety to the point of being in the emergency room 2 to 3 times a week then I was able to cope with that throughout the years and now I'm just wondering because my neck the pain is never gone away I've just been able to tolerate it but a few years ago the same thing happened and I know it was muscle spasms I suffered with severe anxiety to the point of being in the emergency room 2 to 3 times a week then I was able to cope with that throughout the years and now I'm just wondering because my neck the pain is never gone away I've just been able to tolerate it but a few years ago the same thing happened and I know it was muscle spasms and I got very nervous from it. Is there any then I can do at home to help relieve the fear of a heart attack or a stroke being Zaidi just to alleviate it a little bit without having to go to medication ?
