Brief Answer:
X-ray and ultrasonography.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query and an elucidate, albeit small and specific query.

Severe flank pain on one side (left in your case) with reduced in urine output is suggestive of an impacted stone in the ureter somewhere in its course , most probably upper part.

I would advise you an urgent X-ray of the abdomen and ultrasonography to confirm / rule out the possibility and to get an alternative cause.

Also get the following done:
Urine Culture and sensitivity, routine and microscopy before the start of the antibiotic.. This is very important as the single dose of antibiotic can alter the results to give false results.
Test of blood- particularly urea and creatinine.

Once the diagnosis is made, get a referral for Urologist or such specialty as advised by your treating Doctor. He would definitely consider your past history and medications in the current situation. And also do an actual physical examination of the back and the flank area.

I hope this answer helps you to get an urgent diagnosis and proper plan for the treatment.
