What Causes Severe Itching On The Legs, Forearms And Back?
Question: Hi Doctor, I am suffering from skin itching (allergy) for last 3 months all over the body, mainly on legs; forearms and back. I have taken Dazit tablet; and Teczine tablets for one month alongwith Extreme Moisturising body cream. The severity has come down but it is recurring... what to do?? Apart from this I am suffering from groin fungal itching,,,Please advise me suitable medication or lifestyle or food. IgE test levels are 170...No Sugar; no BP; no thyroid. Normal LF

Your Serum IgE levels are slightly raised which means you might be having endogenous eczema which is due to internal sensitivity of the individual.
I would recommend you to upload the photographs of the affected areas so that I can have a clearer picture of the condition and can guide you accordingly.
Meanwhile for fungal infection I would recommend to take other antifungals like tablet terbinafine 250 mg once daily and apply eberconazole cream on the groin region twice daily for 8-10 weeks.
For itching take tablet Cetrizine 10 mg twice daily.
These are prescription drugs and you need to see the doctor in person to get them.

I have reviewed the attached report and you have been diagnosed with atopic dermatitis which is an endogenous type of eczema.
It is a chronic type of eczema which will take time to resolve.
Along with tablet teczine, dazit and moisturising lotion I would recommend you to apply potent topical steroid like clobetasol propionate cream on the affected area twice daily for 2-3 weeks.
It should be applied diluted in a moisturising lotion in the ratio of 1:3 on the affected areas.
Besides this use mild soap for bathing, bath with lukewarm water instead of hot water, avoid woollen clothes in direct contact with body, keep it as moisturised as possible, stay away from extremes of temperature, avoid dust and pets.
These all measures will help in allaying your itching.
Besides this you have beed diagnosed with scabies which is a mite infection and you have been already given treatment for it.
It takes 4-5 weeks for itching of scabies to subside and till that time you need to continue with the antihistaminic.

Thank you very much Madam XXXXXXX Ji. Regarding scabies, I have applied permethrin 5% lotion, but it is not useful ( may be not scabies). I have uploaded old photos ( now somewhat better) of symptoms, Please advise me correct medication. I submit that I don't want to use more allopathic medication unnecessarity. Thankingyou,
