Brief Answer:
Peptic ulcer disease

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I can understand your concern for your symptoms.
1) Hunger pain which relieve by food intake, pain in upper part of abdomen is suggestive of stomach peptic ulcer disease.
2) This is a condition in which ulcer develops in distal part of stomach or in duodenum. When there will be acid secretion from stomach, it aggravates the pain. Ingested food mix with stomach acid and thus diminish its effect.
3) As a precaution, you must avoid oily, spicy, overcooked food.
4) You must take medication for acidity (Tab Omeprazole) for 2 weeks. If symptoms persist even after 2 week of treatment, then you must consider to undergo upper GI endoscopy.

Hope I answered your query. If you have any further doubts, I would be happy to help you.
Have a nice day!

Thank you for the reply doctor. What causes this ulcer? Is it something of a serious concern that i should be worried about? The pain is not restricted to upper abdomen, the pain/hunger is even distributed acorss the abdomen. I also sometimes feel a dull burning sensation in the abdomen after food ingestion. No blood in stool. The tablet which you prescribed, how many must i take in a day and when? Before or after food? Thank you once again.

Brief Answer:
Ulcer is due to acidity

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I apologize for late reply.
1) Peptic ulcer disease is due to gastritis (acidity) and curable completely.
2) I still feel your hunger pain is related to peptic ulcer disease.
3) You should take Tab Omeprazole twice in day (morning, night) in empty stomach.
