What Causes Severe Headache, Neck Pain And Nausea?

default
Posted on Mon, 25 Apr 2016
Question: I am 46 weight about 95 I have severe headaches pretty much all the time for the last year and a half. I have neck issues along with the headaches feel sick a lot. I feel nausea quite often has been really bad for over 2 weeks. I have had botox in my neck and then an ephideral a couple months ago that did not help the neck or headaches. I feel tired all the time. They hand me anti depressants like candy and do not help. My neck feels strained all the way around now and feel horrible. I have had pain in my lower stomach and my right side. I have had the kidney on the side that it is hurting full of bacterial stones. So that scares me but it is not happening all the time. I have a small spot on my head above my temples that if I even barely touch it sends a shooting pain into my temple. I have been to doctors about the headaches and neck plus I have fibromyalgia. However, I have been so consumed by the headaches so I have not said much about feeling sick at least once a day, but lately I have been feeling sick everyday. I just don't know what to do anymore. Oh and also I have been getting a very hot feeling the last 2 and a half weeks it last only a couple minutes but then I feel sick.

Brief Answer:
Medical treatment would help.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

I have noted your symptoms. It is unfortunate that you have severe pain and various treatments have not helped you much.

I presume that you had undergone MRI of brain and cervical spine and they were normal.

In that case, the cause of headache could be migraine with chronic daily headaches. Effective preventive medications include topiramate, propranolol and divalproex tablets. For relief of headache, rizatriptan tablets are helpful.

For neck pain and fibromyalgia, pregabalin capsules are effective.

In addition, physiotherapy would also help in pain relief.

I hope my answer helps. Please get back if you have any follow up queries or if you require any additional information.

Wishing you good health,
