Posted on Mon, 8 Jun 2015
Question: I have consumed an I PILL three days ago as a precaution. First day after consumption I was fine, Second and Third day, I am going through frequent head aches (being severe towards night) and there is always a vomiting sensation post consumption of food. I also have a mild feverish sensation at times To keep you informed my last periods was on 25th April,2015. Would there be an impact on my monthly cycle due to I PILL ?
Could you please advice a cure for this. Would appreciate your response at the earliest,at least something to relieve head aches.

Brief Answer:
possible side effect of i pill

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.

I pill has a side effect of headache, dizziness, nausea, vomiting and unexpected bleeding. However, apart from the bleeding, all the side effects are mild and usually resolve within 24 hours of intake of I pill. The headache you are having can be due to effect of I pill or could be any other reason as tension headache due to stress you are taking. You can take paracetamol to relieve the headache, if not cured then do consult a physician to get properly examined, investigated and treated.

Nausea after food intake and feverish sensation can be due to pill intake, or could be due to any other associated illness like viral fever, jaundice etc.

I pill can alter the periods, can lead to unexpected intermenstrual bleeding, can prepone the periods or most commonly can delay the next expected periods by 2-3 weeks.

Wishing you good health.
