What Causes Severe Body Pains After Having Treatment For Herpes Infection?
Question: My wife was suffering from herpis, She had small redish mark above her chest, After consulting my family skin specialist doctor, He has advice to take VALTOVAL tablet 3 times a day for 1 week, Now she is okay, But still she has heavy body pain and always sleeps due to tierdness. Pls advice wether to take any other alternative tablets.
I have also went thru google and noticed to eat FISH, YOGHURT which is very good for patient who is suffering from herpies, Is this correct, Pls advice.

If the treatment is begun immediately with pain killers or Amitryptiline or Gabapentine the pain usually subsides with in a month or so.
Without treatment, symptoms are gone by three months.
Some people have a slow improvement over a long period of time.
However, it is not clear why some people continue to have pain when the inflammation has gone. It is thought that some scar tissue next to the nerve, or in the nearby part of the spinal cord, may be a factor.
This may cause pain messages to be sent to the brain.
