Brief Answer: Seems to be because of musculo skeletal pain. Detailed Answer: Hello, Thanks for your query. The soreness of lower ribs cage on right side seems to be because of musculo skeletal pain. Other possibility could be visceral causes.You need proper clinical examination and investigations. Proper treatment depends upon clinical findings and investigation reports. For sore ribs you can take Tylenol in prescribed dosage for symptomatic relief of the pain. Doing hot fomatation and applying muscle relaxant gel will be helpful. I have been to ny doctor and he ( without examination) said it was probably muscular. I have had muscular pain but this is like something is stuck under my ribcage. I am concerned it may be my liver or gall bladder - what systoms should I see if that was the case?
