What Causes Right Sided Lower Abdominal Pain?
Question: Hello doctor,
From today afternoon my wife feeling ache in lower abdomen. Sometimes aching less sometime aching more. could you please tell me cause of this aching. In right side lower abdomen aching.

--The pain that your wife has can be a pain from the bowel. If your wife has constipation then it is it and she should take care of the diet.
-- Also if your wife is around 15 days after the first day for last menstrual period, then the pain may come from the ovaries, because its the time of ovulation. Tell her to take an Ibuprofen 400mg after some light food, if that is the case.
-- If she has urinary symptoms, it can be a urinary tract infection.
-- It can also be appendicitis if she has an atypical positioning of it. It is rare but can happen.
For now, please tell your wife to take an Ibuprofen and see if she improves. If worse or not better I would recommend seeing a local doctor because abdominal pains can be very tricky.
