Question: my face neck are so red it's only where the sun hits my skin I'm tired of the questions I wear a baseball cap all the time it's only wear the sun hits it's gotten worse over the years

Thanks for the query and photograph.

You have developed photodermatitis.

You can see in the photograph that the covered areas including the cap covered scalp is not affected.
Apply a sunscreen with SPF 50 three times a day.
At 8 am 11 am and 2 pm.

Apply it daily irrespective of whether sun exposure is there or not.
Try this for a month.

Short course of steroid can be taken.
You can take tablet prednisolone for 5 days if the symptoms become severe and then stop it.
Sun protection is the only treatment.
Try to use good quality sunscreen and use sun protection measures.
