Brief Answer:
Can eb due to dermatitis.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
The rash and smell can be due to excessive sweating in the area. Be careful to keep the area properly clean. The rash can be due to dermatitis also. You can use 1% hydrocortisone gel available over the counter in the area and see if it helps.
In case the rash is persistent then it needs to be examined by a dermatologist for proper treatment.
Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.
