What Causes Radiating Pain And Swelling In The Back?

default
Posted on Fri, 25 Nov 2016
Question: I have fullness in the abdomen, feels like something is swelling, with radiation to the right middle back. This is worse after I eat, about 45 minutes to an hour, and lasts several hours. I was diagnosed with a sagging liver about 9 months ago. I am 5'5 inches, and 157 pounds. Could the symptoms be from the liver?

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you for asking on HCM!

You are reporting that you have had fullness in abdomen with radiation to the back.
These symptoms are mostly related with :
- gallbladder issues
- GERD (acid reflux)

This is why I strongly suggest to do :
- abdominal ultrasound
- upper endoscopy
Meantime I suggest to:
- continue using omeprasole
- use antispasmodic drugs like Nospa
- eat often and small amount of meal
- avoid fatty and spicy foods.
Hope it was helpful to you!
