Brief Answer:
It is not normal! Interven and not wait!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this prolonged bleeding after a 5onths period. Given your age, this ay be related to the irregularities observed in the menstrual cycle leading up to menopause known as dysfunctional uterine bleeds. However, bleeding in quantities that you have reported for over 15days needs some medical attention and intervention. If nothing is done, you would move on to have anemia and maybe a hemorrhagic shock.

I will like that you get in touch with your OBGYN. A complete clinical examination and basic investigations like pelvic ultrasound would help identify the exact problem. Treatment would be guided by these findings.

If no cause is found, we have progesterone-like drugs that can stabilize the uterine wall and stop any further bleeding. Also, you would need iron tablets to replace the lost iron in blood.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thank you so much for using our services and please feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.
