Suggest Treatment For Bloody Stools Along With Rectal Pain
Question: I have been having bloody stools and rectal pain for years. I had polyps removed during a colonostopy aprox. 4 years ago. The doctors keep saying IBS, hemorrhoids, and anal fissure. I have taken EVERYTHING. although they prescribe creams suppositories etc...nothing works. for the past6b months I have had severe rectal pain daily. sitz baths meds nothing helps. I haven't been to the doctor for it because family practitioner and gastrointestinal specialist alike have offered no help. tonight the bleeding was far worse than I have ever experienced. I have pooped blood and HUgE blood clots the size of stools with no stool. I have been pooping for hours and dripping blood from my anus.

Bleeding excessively through the anus is considered an emergency condition and I would strongly recommend an immediate visit to the hospital and even admission. A drop in blood and hemoglobin can result in hemorrhagic shock, cardiac arrest, and various other complications ma'am, so I strongly urge you to report to the ER at the earliest.
As for the cause, it is difficult to say without a colonoscopy and a blood coagulation profile. Let me tell you about a male patient I had in the year 2012 who presented in a similar manner, although he was never previously diagnosed. He worked in an IT firm, and his friends brought him in, he was seizing. He apparently had 2 episodes of bloody stools in the morning, and informed his friends about the same. He then suffered a seizure an hour later, which is when he was brought in. I admitted him to the ICU and immediately initiated plasma transfusion. Due to the bloody nature of his colon, it made all colonoscopies performed unfruitful as we could not really visualize the insides very well despite the enemas.
Well we kept transfusing and he kept bleeding, this went on for about 3 days. When he finally showed signs of recovery and reduced bleeding, which is when the colonoscopy performed was successful, but inconclusive as we couldn't find anything abnormal. But, his blood coagulation profile showed abnormalities which could have led to him bleeding out. He was apparently on certain medications which can cause abnormalities in the blood coagulation profile, he failed to mention this despite being mentally stable in a days time.
