Question: its been 3 weeks and my yeast infection still hasn't gone away. I've been on fluconazole twice. I even ate garlic but I'm still having the same white cottage cheese looking discharge. could something else be wrong with?

Brief Answer: All white discharge are not yeast Detailed Answer: Hi, Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns. All white discharge are not yeast. I will advice you to get a vaginal swab culture to know the organism as it can be bacteria also. You also should get your blood sugar checked as diabetes causes difficult to treat discharges. In the meantime you can try clotrimazole vaginal pessary. It's more effective. Hope this helps. Regards Dr. Som Biswas M.D. Mumbai
