default
Posted on Mon, 11 Jul 2016
Question: All of a sudden my Achilles tendon ( I think), in right leg, became very tight /stiff. Very difficult to walk.
Pain/stiffness in calf when pushing off toes when walking, not in heel.
Any ideas?

Brief Answer:
Tendinitis

Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome to HCM.
It sounds to me like Achilles tendintiis which is inflammation of the tendn that may occur spontaneously or after certain injruies, log walks or streching. You should rest, take ibuprofenum 2x400mg per day and apply cold compresses for 3-5 days. If there is no improvement, you should see doctor and have cast immobilisation for few days. Wish you good health. Regards
