What Causes Pain In The Lower Back And Swelling In The Neck?
Question: I had ACDF a year ago. I also have DDD in my lumbar spine and cervical spine. I have been experiencing pain in my lower back, sacrum, buttock thigh, knee, feet, neck, and my neck is swollen with a lump in the front. My back gave out on me 3 times in the store yesterday causing me to almost fall. the pain is increasing as is my concern. is my concern valid?

The DDD and gradual progress n degeneratve changes n spine can cause a nerve root compression causing pain all over. The treatment is done according to the severity of symptoms. Medicines are the first line treatment along with physiotherapy. If the patient responds well with medicines then physiotherapy helps in preventing further progression of the problem.
Discuss with your orthopedician and an appropriate treatment can be planned depending on the response to medical drugs.
