Brief Answer:
Follow the Advises as below..

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXX, Welcome to HCM,
I've gone through your query and understand your concern ,

Well it seems quite a injury you've suffered..from your description it's quite apparent that there's neuro-muscular damage over your right inter-costal muscles(the accessory muscle fibers of breathing) also possible damage to the coverings of lungs and surrounding structures..

Now you should start applying Ice-pack compression over the bruise immediately and for at least 3-4 times a day..

I'd also advice you to stop taking Aleve and start simple analgesic like Tab PARACETAMOL(Tylenol) 650 mg Three times a day after food for the next 2-3 days..

Take Steam inhalation 3-4 times a day for the next few days , it'll ease the breathing..

You need to go to your nearest ER if you feel despite doing all these , pain is not getting controlled and difficulty in breathing increases or any further chest pain , for a complete physical check-up as well as Chest X-Ray and / CAT Scan of the Thorax, Blood Gas analysis, to rule out any underlying lung contusion, pleurisy , hemo-pneumothorax..

Nothing to worry as of now , just follow the advises and stay vigilant..

Avoid any strenuous activities in the meanwhile and stay rested..Try to lie down on the opposite so that the affected side gets less stress..

Let me know how you stay in the due course..

Take Care
Kind Regards
