What Causes Pain In Right Side Of Groin Area?

default
Posted on Thu, 4 Sep 2014
Question: I am a 6 foot 2 190 pound relatively healthy 48 year old male. For the last week or so I've been getting a sharp pain in my right side groin when i'm walking or getting up. Its very random, but lasts for 3 to 5 minutes and I just try to move it slowly with the pain jabbing. I cant hardly walk or move until it just sort od works itself out. Then Its gone without a trace. No visible lumps or stomache pain or anything what so ever associated with it. Its just really weird.

Brief Answer:
It could be due to Rt.Inguinal Hernia.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for your query, based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you might have Rt Inguinal Hernia.

Pain occurs due to dragging of the contents of the hernial sac (Omentum or Bowel)

However this needs to be confirmed by clinical examination by a qualified General surgeon and ultrasound scanning of the abdomen and pelvis.

Please go ahead ang consult Surgeon for confirmation

Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions ,
I shall be happy to help you
Thanks and Regards.

How does this occur? Would I not have noticed these symptoms as soon as I picked up something heavy or something like that. How dangerous is this as I have no insurance. Is there anything I can do to not aggravate the problem until I can figure out a solution.
